Can I bring my dog?
Unfortunately, due to farm animals we do not allow dogs, but service dogs are welcome.
Is there Wi-Fi?
As we offer an off-grid, disconnected experience, there is no Wi-Fi at either hut. Phone signal may also be patchy due to our rural location.
Are the huts accessible for all?
Our primary aim is to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience for all our guests, and we deeply value accessibility and inclusivity. However, our current facilities do not fully meet the needs of individuals requiring wheelchair access, as the premises and surrounding areas have uneven surfaces, grass and are not paved. We are committed to improving accessibility and are actively exploring solutions to better accommodate all guests in the future. In the meantime, should you require any assistance or have any specific needs, please contact us.
Are you a working farm?
Yes. At specific times of the year there may be some farm machinery in use during your stay. We ask that you take care to avoid any machinery. We also ask that you stay within the designated areas of the site, these are highlighted by signage.
When is check in?
Check in is from 3pm and check out is 10am. It may be possible to check out later if requested.
How do we access the property?
Information regarding access will be sent upon booking.
Is there car parking?
Car parking is in the designated spot adjacent to the hut.
What is provided when we arrive?
Kitchen staples such as tea, coffee and salt are provided. The kitchen is equipped with all necessary items for cooking, such as pans, spatulas and crockery/cutlery. All bedding and towels are provided, along with a hamper of locally produced goods. Please bring flip flops or sandals for the hot tub area, and wellies in case it is muddy.
Do you provide food?
If you would like to order locally sourced breakfast items including farm eggs, bacon, sausages and locally baked bread, please let us know. This is an additional charge of £20.
Should I bring my own wood?
We provide a starter supply of logs for your hut and hot tub. Additional logs are £5 a sack.
Is the hut heated?
The hut is heated by central heating system and a log burner.
Are there communal areas?
The woodland areas surrounding the Badger Sett and The Old Hay Cart are for exclusive use of the guests in that accommodation. We have a communal space at the sycamore tree called The Thoughtful Spot for all guests to enjoy.
Can I smoke?
Both huts are strictly no smoking. As they are located within woodland we ask that extreme care is taken when smoking outside. Please use the ashtrays provided and never discard unextinguished cigarette ends. We ask that all cigarette ends are disposed of appropriately.
Is there lighting after dark?
Please note as we provide an off-grid experience, and due to the animals that make the woodland their home, there is minimal lighting on the site after dark. Torches can be found inside your hut.
Should we clean before leaving?
A full clean is not necessary but please ensure that you leave the hut clean and tidy. Please strip all beds and leave the linen in the laundry bags provided.
