Sycamore and Stars Off Grid Retreat is nestled in 7 acres of woodland on a 120-year-old working farm. There are two places to stay, each for two guests only: The Badger Sett, our original shepherd's hut, and The Old Hay Cart, a 1910 farm cart carefully converted. Both are the ideal gateway to the natural beauty and history of the fantastic Lincolnshire countryside.
The Badger Sett
Step inside The Badger Sett and discover a shepherd's hut like no other. The interior has been lovingly crafted with reclaimed materials that tell stories of our farm's rich history — cosy and full of character, with everything you need for a truly private escape.
The Old Hay Cart
Crafted from an original 1910 Lincolnshire hay cart, The Old Hay Cart has been carefully transformed into a cosy and characterful space full of history. A snug sleeping area, seating and TV sit inside, with a fully equipped kitchen and private bathroom in two mini shepherd's huts on the decking. Outside, your own hot tub and BBQ area wait among the trees.
With only two stays tucked sympathetically into their own private woodlands overlooking miles of farmland, it is both peaceful and personal. Guests often tell us it feels like discovering a hidden little gem.
Choose between a beautifully appointed shepherd's hut or a reinvented 1910 Lincolnshire Hay Cart, both complete with their own private facilities, woodland walks, BBQ areas and hot tubs. We are also home to two highland cows, goats, geese and chickens who you are welcome to meet up close.

Had the BEST stay here - it was so much more than expected! The most peaceful and relaxing location, with so many personal touches making it a really unique experience. There’s nothing Alex and Cat haven’t thought of, from the welcome hamper with eggs and honey from the farm to dressing gowns to use with the hot tub. The hot tub is set off in its own private location along with your own BBQ area and walkway through the woods. It was the perfect escape from life with no phone signal and no people around!
